What if movement didn’t have to be intense to be effective?
Join Michael Brennan, for this 4 week intro course to Qigong (pronounced Chi Gong). Rooted in traditional Chinese medicine, Qigong is an ancient practice designed to release stagnant Qi (life energy) so that energy flows more freely through the body-mind system. Often described as a moving meditation, it is a gentle, mind-body practice that combines slow, intentional movement with breath and focused awareness.
The style of Qigong we will be working with through this intro series is Baduanjin, in which students will learn eight movements, along with traditional concepts to warm up and integrate the body and mind with breath.
Through this practice, Qigong can offer participants improved balance, mobility, breath awareness, and a sense of grounded well-being. Beyond the movement, it is a way to slow down, reset and reconnect with the flow of your own energy.
