Journey Through Morocco: An 8-Day Yoga & Cultural Immersion

with Sarah Taylor
October 18-25, 2026

To journey is to explore. To explore both the world around you and the landscape within.

Join Sarah Taylor for a transformative yoga retreat to Morocco, where ancient medinas meet endless desert horizons, and the rhythm of daily practice interweaves with deep cultural immersion. This is our invitation to disconnect from the familiar, reconnect with your practice, and explore one of the world's most captivating countries.

Morocco will meet you with its winding alleyways, vibrant souks, the stillness of the Agafay Desert, and the gentle crash of the waves of the Atlantic. You'll move through three distinct landscapes: from the rose-hued streets of Marrakech to the quiet luxury of a desert ecolodge to the breezy coastal charm of Essaouira. Along the way, daily yoga and meditation will ground you in presence, while guided cultural experiences open you to new perspectives, flavors, and ways of being.

The pace each day is both structured enough to immerse you in Morocco's richness, yet spacious enough to allow you to rest, reflect, and experience spontaneous discovery. You'll be supported by:

  • Daily yoga and meditation practices

  • Expert local guides in each location

  • Authentic Moroccan cuisine and cultural experiences

  • Transportation between all three cities

  • Entrance to historic monuments and sites

  • Time for wandering, resting, and connecting with your fellow travelers

Here, you're invited to explore with curiosity and openness, fully present to the beauty of Morocco and to your own unfolding journey. This retreat is for anyone who feels called to deepen their yoga practice while experiencing the world through mindful, intentional travel.

About Our Moroccan Journey

MARRAKECH (3 nights)

We begin in Marrakech, the 'Red City,' where centuries-old medinas pulse with life. You'll explore winding streets, visit stunning palaces and gardens, and practice yoga in the tranquil sanctuary of our traditional, private riad (ancient Moroccan home).

AGAFAY DESERT (1 night)

A short, hour drive from Marrakech brings us to the Agafay Desert, where we'll stay at La Pause, a luxury ecolodge surrounded by the quiet expanse of rolling desert hills. Here, we'll practice yoga under the stars, swim in the property's many, oasis-style pools, and have the option to ride camels at sunset. This is your time to rest deeply and restore.

ESSAOUIRA (3 nights)

We complete our journey in Essaouira, a breezy coastal town on the Atlantic. With its whitewashed buildings, vibrant art scene, and relaxed pace, Essaouira offers the perfect space to integrate your week of practice and exploration.

For Sarah, yoga retreats aren't just about the poses. Retreats are about creating space for stillness, self-reflection, and authentic community. She believes that travel has the power to shift our perspective, and that when we pair movement with cultural immersion, we open ourselves to profound growth and understanding.

Having led multiple yoga retreats to Morocco (‘22, ‘23, ‘24) and France (‘25), Sarah brings expertise and genuine care to every aspect of the journey. She handles all the logistics so you can simply show up to Morocco ready to explore, connect, and discover what retreat has to teach you.
